Our Story
I grew up along the California coast, Capitola specifically, noticing details that most people ignore. The mystery of the Rispin, forgotten trails, the way the light hits the ocean right before sunset.
Now, that way of seeing became the foundation of Forgotten California.
What started as one short media video for my father turned into a fast-growing community of people who love the coast, the hidden places, the abandoned corners, and the quiet moments between the landmarks.
I film every location myself. I don’t use templates or recycled edits. Many of the moments I share are completely unplanned: a storm rolling in across West Cliff, empty streets in Capitola at night, and access to places most people never get to see. As a professional photographer, I love sharing the world in picture form. Now with social media, the ability to share has reached an unexpected level.
My goal is simple. I want to document California the way it actually feels cinematic, mysterious, beautiful, and sometimes forgotten. I want to create images and stories my dad would have stopped the car for, and honestly, I want to share them with you.
Today, Forgotten California has grown into a creator brand that reaches thousands of people every day, and now includes fine-art prints at a reasonable cost, exclusive access features, and collaborations with local businesses and historic locations.
If you’re here, thank you for being part of the journey.
There’s so much more of California left to uncover.
